All sessions take place at my studio in Newmans Garden Centre, Aberystwyth or outdoors. I can travel to you within Aberystwyth area if you would like a lifestyle session at your home.

You will be able to pick any outfits you would like to wear, or come in your own clothes. All gowns are M-XL and adjustable, so pregnant and non pregnant ladies fit in them, you have nothing to worry about. Most people come prepared in their own clothing and if they like something from the studio we just mix it all up a bit!

I have also created pinterest boards with ideas on what to wear and I will send them to you before the consultation.

You are investing a lot of money in your portraits, they are an heirloom for generations to come. Ensuring that you have a suitable clothing is simply a must. You do have access to the studio wardrobe as well as lots of prep guides and pinterest boards. If your clothing is not suitable for the general feel and aesthetics of my work we will have to reschedule – because your clothing makes the images, styling is step one in ensuring amazing results.

For maternity and newborn sessions – ideally after your 12 week scan as I take limited number of bookings to provide a service tailored to your needs.

For other sessions aim for 3 months beforehand.

I always keep extra last minute slots – but they are gone before I blink.

For newborn sessions we book you in 4-18 days after birth. We avoid day 5 as your midwife will want to check in with you and day 10 as your baby will most likely cluster feed.

For maternity sessions 28-34 weeks is the ideal time, depending how you are feeling and how big you want your bump to be!

For cake smash sessions any time between 11-13 months is great.

For sitter sessions we book for when baby is 7-8 months and we can always move it if they are not ready to sit on their own or if they are already sitting!

Please remember to allow around 4 weeks for editing (2 weeks for cake smash) and factor this in when booking.

This is not possible as all the images have to go through selection and initial editing process due to the high quality format they are captured in. I select only the best quality images, which are hand edited and sent to you in your gallery. You will be looking at your images at the back of the camera during your session, don’t worry!

I have completed multiple workshops and training sessions in maternity, newborn & baby photography. I have invested a lot in my education to make sure each baby is safe while being posed. My training sessions were one to one and hands on – where I learned during an actual newborn sessions. I have also completed multiple in person group workshops as well as online training courses.

Due to sudden preeclampsia I had a premature baby, born 6 weeks early, weighing 3lbs 12oz – I know how to handle the tiniest babies and keep them very safe.

Absolutely NOT! I hate the misconception that breastfeeding mums should not eat cabbage or garlic or chocolate?! Eat whatever makes you happy.

HOWEVER caffeine does get through to your breastmilk, so if you could avoid your morning coffee that day – it would be very helpful.

Yes and no! It all depends on a baby! Some bottle fed babies struggle with gas more, while breastfed babies want to feed more often – there is no golden rule here. We just follow your babies needs. Just keep me posted with your babie’s feeding progress as hungry baby makes unhappy baby.

Do you mean what props and outfits I don’t have?! I am an absolute propaholic. 

I have so many props, that I barely ever create set ups that are similar. I have outfits for babies up to 2 years, and more limited selection for older children. Plenty of gowns for mums, or grandmas.

For older boys I always ask you to bring chinos & shirt/jumper.

I the best props, backdrops and posing solutions from all over the world – only the best for my clients.

Every session includes a phone or video consultation where we discuss all the colours, set ups, your needs and expectations. You can ask any questions and I will in a little questionnaire to make sure I tailor the session to your needs.

The next stage is the session itself. It includes my time, knowledge and expertise, as well as use of the studio / props / outfits / equipment – this varies for mini sessions.

Next stage is the editing stage – this is a long process of selecting the best images and making sure they are of the highest standard.

Last stage is the gallery delivery –  all edited images & black and white versions (where applicable) are uploaded to your private online gallery.

Each session includes little snacks and drinks, bits & bobs for your toddlers and older children and little surprises along the way.

There are different pricing packages available for the sessions. Depending on what session you choose, the price will vary, but is clearly explained on the website – no hidden costs. To book your session you pay £99 deposit which is later deducted from your final spend.

No you do not, but you have to have some idea of your budget! Most clients go for the Luxury Platinum package straight away as they want to make the most of their newborn, cake smash or family session & they know they want the full gallery. 

For other sessions most popular collections are Gold & Silver, but it all depends on your needs. Throughout the session you will see the images at the back of the camera to give you an idea of what we have. BE WARNED! Most clients who aim for smaller package cannot resist getting all the images!

Some babies feel very unsettled in a new environment. In the whole time I have been doing this I only had one session where I didn’t manage to provide a full gallery – it happens, but very rarely.

We take it all step by step, all sessions are baby led. Newborns have growth spurts, gassy bellies or separation anxiety – every baby is different. That’s why I only book one newborn session per day.  If your baby is very unsettled or your toddler/child is having an off day – we will move the session, don’t worry!

We will discuss all the details during our consultation & the basics are outlined in your booking email. I have plenty of snacks and variety of drinks – but I recommend for newborn and maternity sessions that you bring a sandwich or something filling – don’t forget about the amazinng Poppys cafe though, highly recommend it for lunch!

No, of course not. They are your photos. I absolutely love using them for competitions and to proudly display them on my website or social media, but this is up to you. I won’t lie posting images helps my business a lot – if you haven’t seen all the beautiful families online, would you have booked? There are always little details we can post as well as no chilndren’s face images.

One perk of having them online is that you get lovely session videos if you want.

Your photos are ready usually 4-6 weeks after your session, but I always try to have them done as soon as I can. I pay attention to tiny details and I never rush the process.

If you have been added to a last minute slot or it is a peak time – it can take longer but we will discuss it on individual basis.

Yes I do! You can find most of them under the products and pricing tab. I can also order bespoke wall art for you – even if you don’t see it on the list. Just ask for a quote.

I use two amazing Nikon cameras and multiple lenses – they are all great quality lenses to make sure the photos are sharp and crisp. I edit using an iMac and wacom tablet to be able to edit the tiniest details.

I use  wall of light as well as studio strobe light and various modifiers.

Of course, I am a professional, registered business.

For lifestyle sessions you must provide your own clothing in line with the advice given to ensure your portraits are the best quality.

I do not offer any other sessions where you can bring your own outfits or accessories – for example for newborn or cake smash sessions. My set ups are of the highest standard and certain aesthetics therefore I only use luxury props and outfits from my studio.

Main points:

1. Session fee in non refundable

2. Any images produced by the photographer MUST NOT be altered in any way – this includes cropping of the images on social media or applying any filters.

3. Please be aware that certain things cannot be edited and it is your responsibility to take care of those prior to your session: fake tan stains, roots, unwashed hair / bad hairstyles, dirty nails, tan lines, chipped nails or nail varnish, food stains, temporary tattoos, body hair etc

4. Payment of £99 session fee is due to secure a session slot. For basic packages cost of bottom package is payable on the day of the session & rest before editing process takes place. For smaller packages payment is due upfront.

5. Payment plan agreements must be made at the time of booking. Images will be delivered once the agreement is paid off. If you require to use paypal credit £15 fee payable by BACS will apply.

6. There is zero lateness policy – please allow enough time to arrive as planned to ensure your session runs smoothly.

7. Your session is an investment and you want to look back on the images and be proud of them – please follow the dress code guidelines. Sports tshirts / clothing, clothing with bold patterns / logos, hoodies, tracksuits etc will not be photographed. Please follow the guides and guidelines as your wardrobe choices will have impact on whether your session is successful and within the standards of my business.

8. After receiving your gallery online you will have 7 days to download it – make sure to keep your images safe as they will not be stored by photographer.

9. Due to nature of photographing children images where every member of family or children are looking at the camera cannot be guaranteed, as well as cooperation of small children cannot be guaranteed. For discounted sessions and model calls all images will be used online & for marketing purposes.
