What to expect on your newborn shoot
Before your session, we’ll have a relaxed phone or video chat to talk through everything — from colours and styling to any questions you may have. I’m a fully trained, specialist newborn photographer based in Aberystwyth, and your baby’s safety and comfort are always my top priority.
My goal is to make sure you feel at ease and cared for, so you can arrive at your session feeling calm, prepared, and excited — knowing that every detail is taken care of.
During the shoot
Newborn sessions typically last 2–5 hours, depending entirely on your baby. Everything is baby-led — with plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, or breaks.
I plan each session in advance with a gentle workflow, using safe posing techniques and minimal disturbance. You’ll enjoy a variety of styled setups, and most packages include sibling and family portraits if you’d like them.
After your newborn shoot
Your session is just the beginning of the creative process. Afterward, I carefully select and edit the best images — paying close attention to details, expressions, and overall feel. Depending on your chosen collection, your images will be either lightly or fully hand-edited for a polished, timeless look. Within 3–6 weeks, you’ll receive a private online gallery to download, share, and select any prints or products you’d love to display.

We gently pose your baby using wraps, outfits, and accessories — all coordinated to match your colour preferences and home décor. Every detail is thoughtfully styled to create artwork that feels magical and unique.

A £99 booking fee secures your session date and is fully credited towards your chosen package.

All images from full portrait sessions are carefully hand-edited, with attention to skin tone, tiny details, and overall polish. (Some aspects, like body shape or permanent features, are not altered — full details are covered in your T&Cs.) If you are booking a natural mini session, but want your skin hand edited the charge is £30.
